1941 Gibson "Deco"
"17" Archtop Electric

  • produced as a uncatelogued pre-war archtop
        acoustic guitar

  • no Gibson designated model number or name,
        made from misc. parts from other models, thus
        the non-existant "Deco" designation

  • electric retrofit with vintage ES-100 Charlie
        Christian bar pick-up in neck position (with
        original pots)

  • now has big, fat round ES-250 sound

  • rectangular creme pickup mounting bezel

  • tobacco sunburst finish

  • carved spruce top; figured maple back & sides

  • 24-3/4" scale laminated 5-piece maple neck

  • vintage ES-100 creme bakelite control knobs on
        lower treble bout

  • flush mounted rosewood fretboard with large
        diamond pearl inlays

  • black headstock with script "Gibson", and
        banjo-style "propeller" & "urn" pearl inlays

  • creme single-ply binding on top, back & neck

  • "fire pattern" nitro-celullose pickguard with 3-ply
        creme & black binding

  • adjustable rosewood bridge

  • trapeze tailpiece

  • open back Kluson strip tuners
