  • first true production Gibson electric guitar model
        (for a few months made of cast aluminum)

  • first really well made lapsteel

  • famous Gibson "Charlie Christian" bar pickup
        (note the three separate blades on the
        treble side)

  • steely, fat, clean sound

  • sold for $150 with its matching amp, thus its
        name "EH-150"

  • tobacco sunburst finish

  • maple top with screwed on back

  • bound rosewood fretboard with dot inlay

  • pre-war Gibson pearl script logo inlay on
        headstock

  • black bakelite "stove" knobs

  • nickel tuners

  • introduced 1936; discontinued 1942
